Who Would have Thunk It?

Friday, June 03, 2011

Who would have thunk it? Yesterday I read a blog on SparkPeople about MBT (Masai Barefoot Technology) shoes written by Catherine Pearson a guest blogger. I want to send a big thank-you out to both Catherine and SparkPeople.

I was at Walmart last night and because of the blog I had read, I cruised down the shoe aisles and found a pair of Dr Scholl’s Athletic “Adventure” Mary Jane shoes on sale for $15.00. That’s right, just $15. So now I have a pair of these shoes that I can wear at work in my business attire!

I’ve been a big fan of Skecher’s ShapeUps for over 9 months. I refuse to go walking in anything but them. It takes a bit of getting used to getting your balance wearing this type of shoe, but after you’ve accomplished this, there’s no going back to basic runners. Now I won’t need to change shoes at lunchtime before going for my mini Spark break moment.

I'm going to have to walk down my Wal Marts shoes aisle and see if I can find some... what a deal...~smile~ and there is nothing like a comfortable pair of shoe's that will also keep you in shape..~smile~ I have Planter Fasciitis from waiting tables for many years... so I do need something with a slight heal... I have some Skechers Sneakers but they hurt my feet... So do these have a slight heal or does your heal sink in some ? emoticon

I tried some Skecher’s ShapeUps in the store and loved them. Took them home and an hour later my ankle hurt so bad I couldn't walk for almost 24 hours. Maybe they are good for most people, but not for people with ankle problems.
