Tony Horton, Day 2

Thursday, June 02, 2011

So day 2 went well. Today was Total Body, Cardio and Lower Body. Tomorrow is going to be great! Just Yoga Flex. That's it. :D

So last night, I managed to sit here watching TV and eat AT LEAST 4 or 5 cups of watermelon. I know better than to graze while watching TV, and I know better than to eat right out of the storage container, but did I do what was right? NO! That stupid inner voice just wouldn't shut up! "Its watermelon, its not going to hurt you." "Just a little more will make you happy." "The bowl's almost empty now, you may as well just finish it." You know the voice. That inner saboteur that wants you to stay fat. Needless to say, I went to bed really hating myself. I spent a lot of the morning laying in bed crying.

I got up a little before noon and decided the best way to stop the crying was to be too busy working out to cry. You can't cry when you're sucking air in doing cardio. So I did my three videos, then turned on the Wii. I started with a few runs, 2 minutes each, then started doing the step. I didn't plan on doing it that long, but I like to try and beat my score. Eventually, the free step unlocked! I LOVE THIS!!! I did one 10-minute free step, then set it for 30 minutes and changed the TV back to cable. We watched Deadliest Catch while I did my step! Its great! I love watching TV when I work out and you can't do that with a DVD. Now I have to see if there's one on Fit Plus, and if there is, hopefully you can set it for longer than 30 minutes. Bridget said she can do up to a movie worth of stepping, so that's a new goal for me. 2 hours of stepping!

So with all that, I was at 111 minutes. I can't end a workout that close to 2 hours, so I did some upper body strength training and some side bends with weights and ended up with 126 fitness minutes for the day! I'm not even going to TRY to make it an even number or I'll be here all night!

Alright, I'm going to hit the shower and get some dinner. Sorry for the depression today. I'm trying to get it under control. Have a great night everyone!

Don't apologize for feeling down. It happens to all of us sometimes, and it's good to share it with others. We are here for you to talk to. I hope the day ended better than it started. You rock! Don't beat yourself up. You are working hard to get healthy, but you aren't perfect. None of us are. You will make mistakes sometimes. Think about how long you had those old habits. It's going to take a really long time before they go away, and they may never completely disappear. That is why this is a lifetime commitment. If we could just do this for awhile and then magically we'd stay healthy, it would be easy. We have to continue to work on it, though. You are strong and you can do it!
