Sliding away, but still have a strong enough hand hold to get back

Wow - I have been away from the site for a while now - several weeks. Not too bad, but I know it is affecting my healthy living! I have done fairly well keeping my eating in basic check, but a few bad habits have slowly infiltrated my life: too many tortilla chips, eating while preparing food, an extra glass of wine and the WOST OF ALL - reduced exercise. Wow is it easy to be lazy on the exercise thing! I had been walking and doing ab, arm and leg videos....hm? Fran? what happened? Rain, rain, rain and then heat, heat, heat. Sounds like a lot of excuses to me.
I'm back - have a mini goal in mind and have had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. I went on the family Boy Scout canoe trip! Yep, 3 days and 2 nights in the true wilderness. Numerous rapids, got wet and had a rattle snake in our camp site - But - I did it, got out of my comfort zone and loved the experience. It was beautiful. I was in a canoe with my husband and we did just fine (he is an expert; I a rookie). I'll go again, but not with scouts. It would have been so much nicer to have a light beer at the end of the day!!!
