so I didn't do plyo last night. I just decided this week everything will be pushed back one day with this last Monday being my 'off' day.
i got my heart rate monitor, i set it last night. found out it didn't have calorie tracking like I thought it did. but it makes sense cuz it doesn't have a chest strap.
this morning I grabbed it for plyo, it had reset itself. I reset it. then pushed play, looked at the hrm and it reset itself again!! GAH!! so I guess thats what I get for buying used on ebay. I had read reviews about this particular one and someone else had the same problem. So I'm going to try to return it.
did some more research this morning on hrm. I REALLY want one with calorie tracking. there are so many out there and so many reviews to read. Now I'm considering the timex road trainer - the plum/silver one - with a chest band. It looks good. A little expensive for me, so I'm going to have to think about it for awhile.
I did take my pulse during plyo ( old school way), six times, i wrote them down. at the end i added them up, divided by six and my average heart rate was 157bpm. I found a calculator online that takes your age, weight, bpm, duration and gives you your calories. It said I burned 866 cals. awesome, because my generic input before was 600 cal. so I hope thats accurate. plyo kicks my butt, so it def feels like it. Its the only disc that makes me feel like yakking. lol
