Giving myself a pat on the back!

So i was worried about the bbq this weekend and all went well. I did bring my own 'main course' so i wouldn't have a burger! There were a few comments but all was forgotten in a short time. I also brought several side dishes as well, just in case.
BUT....yesterday had been my best food day ever!!!! I am so excited about it i could jump up and down, weird i know, but it was filling and sooo satisfying to the pallet. Breakfast was shredded mini wheats with bananas and almond milk. DH and I have been hankering rueben sandwiches and i was perplexed on how i would pull this off meat free. Well I DID!!!! Instead of corned beef on mine i sautéed some onion and green peppers in a steak grill seasoning. OMG it was sooo good, even better than the real thing. Will be having another one in a few days. Then for supper we made kebabs. Instead of steak, i marinated portabella mushrooms - sooooooo delicious! We had red and green peppers, red onion, asparagus, Yellow summer squash, zucchini, cherry tomatoes and pineapple. DH, of course wanted steak, but didn't notice that his had only 2 pieces of meat on it..snuck one that just had one! He had 4! I'm sure is body is in shock with all those veggies. I had one leftover so i brought that for lunch today that i will put on top of brown rice, kale, and some sesame garlic sauce....when is lunch again?????
