My First Blog

So this is not my first blog entry ever in life, but it is my first for this SparkPage. :)
I have decided that i will not be using Spark to keep track of my food and exercise for the simple reason that while Im in NYC my internet will most likely be completely dependant on WIFI. I may not be able to get on the internet every single day. SO, I bought an offline app for my iPod that will do the job. However, I will still be logging on to Spark regularly to post blog entries.

I'm leaving in five days to spend 8 months in the great city of New York. I'm super duper excited. I'm going with 21 other students from my class and we will be working at a church, although exactly what we\re going to be doing, we don't know yet. So while my mind is going on super speed, imagining what it's going to be like, I'm also thinking about keeping my healthy lifestyle. I\ve been thinking about lunches I can take to work-i made this salad yesterday with whole wheat macaroni, cut up turkey, veggies, and light Italian dressing. it was good and is basically a one dish meal. I've also been looking up locations of Trader Joes and Whole Foods. And I've been coming to grips with the fact that I may have to join a gym for the first time in my life.
So, I'm excited and I know it's going to be amazing. But I have a lot to do before I go (in the form of laundry and packing).
