Are you willing to do what it takes?

Monday, May 30, 2011

People tell me all the time that they want to lose weight but most are not willing to do what it takes. What does it take???- Consistency with diet and exercise. They must be willing to eat real food. I'm talking abut fruits, vegetables, whole grains, dairy, etc. They must be willing to eliminate processed foods (i.e. foods that come in a box, bag, can, etc.) They must be willing to plan their meals ahead of time and carry food with them so that they have adequate fuel for the day. They must be willing to cut out (or significantly reduce) their intake of sugar and alcohol. It sound worse than it is. They are so many delicious foods to enjoy that you won't even miss the processed, chemical-laden crap. In terms of exercise... they must be willing and able to exercise 5-6 days per week for a minimum of 30 minutes at an intensity high enough to be slightly uncomfortable. You must work out in your zone (70-80% of your target heart rate). To eat and exercise this way you must be willing to put yourself first. If you live near Royalton and are willing to do what it takes contact me and I will help you reach your goal once and for all.

    True that
I am so glad you left a comment on my blog that led me to your blog.
This is so true ! I cannot believe the mistakes I made all this time and wondering why I was gaining weight. It takes determination on top of everything else.

Great blog! You're absolutely right. I can't believe how I used to eat. I was addicted o junk and fast food. Now I can't even eat that stuff! I LOVE real food! Also, I now love to stay active.
It's been a great journey, though not easy. It does take commitment!

    Thanks again!

It takes a lot of commitment that is for sure. Mornings are not something I think I can do, but feel free to come join me on Wednesdays in Randolph for the weekly fun run at 6:30pm.
