Waxing and Waning

I wish I knew what exactly it is that makes me WANT to work out on some days and absolutely NOT want to for lots of the days in between. If I had that...and could figure out a way to bottle the former and purge the latter...well, everyone knows I'd be rich beyond belief.

And thin. *sigh*

I was so motivated and doing so well...and the last week or so...well, meh. Which always leads to pizza. Again, meh.

Today I rode almost 20 miles. 75 minutes. And I feel good. I might do more. I wish I felt like this every day. I wish I could do this every day. Well, not the leftover pizza part, but the being able to do more exercise even after my very long and sweaty workout. Which at least goes a little way towards negating the leftover pizza thing.

*mentally repeating* I am excited to work out, I love to sweat, I feel awesome afterwards, I want to work out more often...

OH! That is an awesome phrase! I am gonna add that to my positive affirmations!

I accept responsibility for my success.

    Perfect! Thank you!

I hear you! If I take a day off for a valid reason it is hard to get back into the groove so I try really hard not do take days off. The thing is this spring I've had a lot of 14 hour days and adding an hour of exercise to that has been too much. Soooo, yes it is hard to get back to it, but.... so very worth it. I have a phrase pinned to my wall in front of my 'puter. It says, "Accept responsibility for my success." Success is possible if I am responsible. Therefore I work out and track. Just a thought for you. Btw I am jealous of your long ride today. I was working and now must go to Costco so no time to ride. Take care!!
