Back home...

Hi everyone, hope you're doing well.
The cruise was WONDERFUL and I want to go back. It was pure relaxation and now is something I will plan to do on an annual basis because we had so much fun. We had some time that was fun with everyone together and other times when the kids were in the ship's children program and DH and I could just spend time together. It was just great... great food, great rest, great visiting Mexico, just great stuff.

Well, in terms of resting, we are back and things are getting crazier in my life by the day.... I will soon need another vacation!
This morning, my mother was at the Skilled Nursing facility taking some time with her mother (who had fallen 6 weeks ago and broken her femur) when she tripped over a cord in the room and fell, breaking her femur.
She will have surgery tonight or tomorrow morning and then probably will join my grandmother in the skilled nursing facility as she goes through her own rehab.
I'm feeling frustrated because I can't be there quickly to help with everyone who is impacted by all of this, mainly my grandfather who is 95 and is missing my grandmother so much. He is very out of sorts and pretty confused and it was my mother who was taking care of him.
My parents both say they don't need me to come help just yet, maybe soon after they figure out all that will be needed.
Just a hard situation.

On the positive side, my DD gets her cast off tomorrow morning, just in time for the school water play day they have tomorrow afternoon to celebrate the end of the school year.

I'm off through next Wed when I start teaching summer school, so I plan to try to take it easy for those days in order to get ready for another fast and furious class that will be over in only 6 weeks. Should be fun!

That's my life in a nutshell today. I am slowly getting back into tracking my food and hopefully can exercise by next week when I get cleared by my Dr to do so after having day surgery yesterday (to remove a cyst on the back of my scalp). It wasn't a big deal but I did have to go under general anesthesia and the suture still hurts a bit, so he said I need to rest from the walking for a while so that it has time to heal. Not sure if I like having an excuse, or if I am wanting to workout to help with stress reduction. Just another thing going on in our busy lives...

Hope everyone is doing well and that you are looking forward to a relaxing holiday weekend. Thinking of all my SP friends, thanks for all your support, you are what makes it possible for me to keep doing this and to keep coming back to it.

Peace, Smiles, Mo

I'm dealing with my ailing mom and stepfather...I know the frustrations of not feeling like you can do enough. We're trying to honor her wishes of staying in her house, but I don't know for how long. We have eldercare from 7 am until 9 pm. I'll keep you and yours in prayer.
