I'll huff & puff & blow you away

Tuesday, May 24, 2011

ha ha, that is what the wind is saying today. Its blowing really hard outside. We have a ton of dirt in the air to go with it. The sky is a pretty shade of brown--yuck!
So, some of you know i'm going to school. I really have got to manage my time better. It seems every time I turn around the sink is full of dirty dishes and the laundry is piled a mile high. Add in the fact Chance (my german shephard) is losing his winter coat and it looks like I never touch the house, but I do!
Ok, some of you know the scale has been jacking me around by going up and down. Lose and then go back to maintain. So, calling him a jackass a few times really didnt help any. The only difference in the last week and this one is the heat makes me want to skip eating. However, I am working on at least getting within the 300 calories of my range. I've had as much as 650 to 1000 calories left & that is not working for me. So, yesteriday, at the end of the day, yep-low on calories. So, I ate a little bit to push the calories up closer. Scale said this morning--down again lol. Rolls eyes. So, gotta get those calories in!
A shoutout to hubby. For those that dont know he is diabetic and has struggled right along with me on the weight issues. I dont know how far he's down now but even the smallest pants he has---those 40's that have always been tight, now require a belt! Despite that, he needs to chill out with the sugar stuff, he said he can tell its been running high by the way he feels. The stuff I keep in the house is supposed to be for those afternoons when his blood sugar tends to bottom out.
That's about it guys, thanks for listening emoticon

What is your calorie range? According to SP, docs & other crap studies I should be eating between 1200-1500 calories a day ...so I TRY to do that.

I have a diabetic husband too. I put all his sugary stuff in 1 spot in the fridge. Seems like if it's in that place & spot he knows that THAT food is for when his sugars go low? But if we bake brownis, have cookies laying around & what not then he eats more then he should. I really have to be a better example for him. When I do good, then so does he! Try to be the same for your hubby! ~Stevie

Glad you are getting those calories in and it is working for you! You go, girl!
Maybe you will just need to hide the sugar stuff so your hubby can't find it! Men can be just like kids, so sometimes we need to treat them like kids!
