Sunday Synopsis

Sunday, May 22, 2011

As I type, Peaches is on the back of my chair, rubbing my head, and hoping I will push the laptop off my lap so he can take his rightful place.

I slept a solid 5 hours, then got up and managed a 20 minute pt stretch, and got ready to go to church services today. On the way home, we stopped at a local store and I bought some decorating goodies. I bought slipcovers for the recliners, and some sea-themed decorations for my bathroom: a sandcastle birdhouse, a piece of coral, and another shell decoration. I have corner glass shelves above see level in the bathroom, I added some seashells that I had already. So, my bathroom has had a simple makeover without costing me an arm and a leg. I bought towels a couple weeks ago, as well as a new bath rug, and bath mat. I also picked up a few electronic candles - lavender scent - as accent pieces. My son said "I am amazed that you can get happy from decorating a bathroom"

Then we stopped so I could pay on a bill, and pick up a new wireless mouse to go with my hand-me-down lap top. I emptied some things out of one of my portfolios at home and presto chango instant laptop bag. Woo hoo. Now I'm cookin'

Tackling the recliner covers was a workout in itself. My chair was easier than my husband's, as its shape does not conform to the cover as easily. I need to pick up some kind of uphostery doo dads to make the seat cover stay in place. No problem.

My oldest son called to let me know his son (17 month old) is scheduled for surgery tomorrow. I do appreciate your prayers, and will let you know, when I know how things go.

Now it's time to push off the laptop, and grab the furball, I mean cat.

I like the bathroom makeover. I've lived in this house for almost 19 years and I have never decorated my bathroom. Thanks for the ideas!

What a wonderful spirit lift-doing a makeover, be it the bathroom or another room-little things that don't cost a lot can make us happy and lift our spirits.
I am wanting to tile my living room so hoping to go tile shopping tomorrow after my walk. I am trying to get rid of my carpet.

Of COURSE you get joy from redecorating a bathroom. It makes the entire house NEW again, especially with those new slip covers!! Your entire family has my prayers, and please let me know how the little one does. emoticon

One day at a tie my darlin! Also, why shouldn't you take joy in redecorating your bathroom? If we can't take joy in the simple things, how would we be prepared for the bigger things?

    Be well!
