Week 20: 31 weeks (and 5 days) pregnant

Friday, May 20, 2011

So I had my appointment yesterday and everything was great. I'm up a total of 27lbs. At this point, I'm ok with that. The ultrasound results showed that the baby we just fine. There was a little bit of fluid in his kidneys but she said that was normal. He also weighs a little over 4lbs something like 1968 grams or something like that. I thought that was normal but I found a website that says at 31 weeks the average fetus weighs 3.31lbs and at 33 weeks the average fetus weighs 4.23lbs. The OB did say that the baby was measuring around 33-34 weeks but that you can't base your due date on later ultrasound because they are not accurate. You have to stick with the early ones. So I have no problem giving birth anytime after 38 weeks as long as my mother is here to watch Lillian.

I still haven't given up hope on the gym. It just seems that as soon as I think that I can get back into my 3 days a week things come up and I just can't get there. Well fingers crossed all of that extra stuff will end this week and next week will be much much better. So far I only made it to the gym on Monday but I hope to go Friday and maybe Saturday morning. We do have a full weekend of grocery shopping, baby shopping and finally getting Lillian's big girl room completed. I wanted her in there by April 1. Oh well. I'm just not sure what I'm going to do when my mother comes. Do I put Lillian back in the crib or on the floor on her slumber chair/bed in the room with my mom. I guess I'll just have to see what works out best.

I'm taking photos weekly now. Here's me at 31 weeks.

This is where I started the day that I got my positive pregnancy test.

You look amazing and I love the picture with Lillian touching your belly! So precious! I know that we were in a hurry to get our Lillian into her big girl bed so that we could use the crib for Elizabeth but it didnt' work out quite that way...Elizabeth had jaundice and we had her in a bassinet right by us. I hope that things go well for you! emoticon

VERY EXCITED FOR YOU! I love the pictures. Don't worry about the baby's weight. Because of my age and some medical issues I had weekly sono's in the end and they told me he was just over 7 pounds 2 days before he was born and he weighed in at 8-11. My friend had the same thing and hers was just the opposite, they actually induced her at 39 weeks because the baby was almost 10pds - she was 7-7 when she was born. GREAT NEWS ABOUT THE KIDNEYS AND JUST FOCUS ON BOTH OF YOU BEING HEALTHY!
