I Am Going To Run.

Friday, May 20, 2011

Just a quickie before work this morning... I called my gym yesterday and asked about a program to help teach people to run. The Director of Adult Fitness said that they have run programs/groups like this in the past, but there isn't one going on at the moment. BUT... She offered to assist me - NO FEE! Incredible! We are meeting on Tuesday at 615pm for about a half hour between classes she's teaching, and then we'll really get started the following Monday. I'm super stoked ~ I am going to run. Wohoo!!!

Oh on a side note, I have lost my 'baby weight'! When I first became pregnant with each of my boys I was about 197lbs - which is where I am now! This is pretty exciting too. Now I just have to lose my 'post-surgery' weight - it'll be awesome!

Heading to the gym tomorrow morning, 10am with a girlfriend... we sometimes do too much talking that our efforts are minimal but we only catch up every so often this way so it's all good. :)

It's a long weekend here in Ontario - I have Monday off work and hoping to have beautiful weather (not likely) but we'll be pretty busy with the boys. I really want to get out to the ski trails for a hike with them at some point. And maybe hit a nearby Provincial Park for exploring. We always find something to do.

Cheers!

Welcome to the club. Running is great.

Hopefully after a while, you'll run just for the fun of it. Then you're in the zone.

I'm still obese and I love to run.
