Circle of Life

Tuesday, May 17, 2011

Just returned yesterday from spending a few days with DH's family after his mother died last week. She had been declining the last several months and she was ready to go. We were so happy that she got to meet her youngest great grandson when my step-daughter and her husband and baby came from Phoenix for a brief visit two weeks ago. It was nice to spend time with his large extended family over the weekend and share memories. My MIL was one of ten children and DH is one of seven so there were lots of cousins, nieces, nephews, etc to catch up with. We laughed, cried and celebrated life while sending her off to Heaven.

And as the circle continues, we are going to be grandparents once November. This time it is my older girl. We have three already with my two stepdaughters and I love them dearly. My husband and I have definitely decided that all our current and future grandchildren are "ours" and will be equally loved and adored. What a blessing this has been!!
