Small victories and laser tag

Yesterday was a good day for me because I conquered the "going to the store starving" mode I was in. I know it may seem so small, but I was starving and those cream cheese jalapeño poppers were calling my name! Well, that is until I turned the box around and saw the calories. I little voice in my head kept telling me, "Erika, don't do it. You just completed your first day of C25k - this won't help you feel any better about yourself."
And then I put them down. Bought what I came to buy and left the store.
This to me is huge. Little things like this will add up for me in the long run. Next time I will remember to keep some little snacks and a bottle of water in the car, so the temptation won't be so great!

Today, I continued my 100 pushup challenge and completed 145 pushups. My arms were shaking after I got done, but there is something about that that make me feel really strong. Even my hubby was impressed. So impressed he treated me and his son to a couple of games of laser tag.
Let me tell you - that is some hard work - well as long as you are running around like I was. I was actually red-faced and winded at the end of our two games and now I just have to lay down because my body is saying no more, must rest....
but I would do it all again. If you haven't been to laser tag - it is a must go, especially if you have two 9 year old boys like we have. It is fun, family time and super nice that we are all working as a team and not laying around the house.
I am finding the more active I am, the less hungry I am and the more energy I have. That is a huge plus in my book!
It's the start of a great week!!
