Follow through, C25k and 100 pushups - keepin' it strong

Woo hoo! I actually got my butt out of bed this morning and followed through with what I said I would. I called my friend who was interested in this c25k program and we just did our first day. I am feeling tired, but oh so good!

This is what I need to remember...I am feeling strong!!

I should go back to last night - you see, I have been doing the 100 pushup challenge for about 4 weeks now. When you start off with that challenge, you do as many pushups as you can without stopping...I could do 15. On Thursday I did 130 pushups - these are sets of 23- 30 with a 90 second rest. I was pretty proud of myself. But yesterday was the day I saw just how strong I was getting! I can actually see "cuts" in my arms now. Yesterday was my test day on the 100 pushup challenge - to see how many I could do without stopping and guess how many....

42! Yes! I high fived my husband who had no idea why I was high fiving him. Then I told him I was seeing and feeling a difference and that I wanted to see that difference in my exercising daily. This is when I got my iphone out, found the C25k app and told him that I was going to do it.

And I did! It is amazing what our bodies can do with a little work and I can't wait to see how mine will change and become stronger.

Now off to celebrate with my cucumber water and my Glamour magazine. Happy Saturday everyone!!

    Great job on the pushups! My arms hurt reading it. LoL I tried the C25K and its a great program for people just starting out in running. Good luck! Have a great weekend.
