3 month

WOW.....I can't believe it's been 2 months since I blogged, but I am trying to spend LESS time on the computer and doing more moving around and now with spring springing all over, I love to get out for brisk walks and look at all the flowers and flowering trees and bushes in my neighborhood!!

Today is my 3 month anniversary of maintaining, and I am so glad I attend my TOPS meetings to get weighed every Monday. However, I still weigh every other day at home to keep me from going beyond 2# over my goal! It helps to keep me accountable!

Thank you to all of you who sent me goodies and well wishes on my b-day yesterday!! I did pretty well all in all with the food. My daughter, who drove home last weekend for a wedding she was maid of honor for brought me a beautiful piece of the newest cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory right there in Chicago where she lives.....Reese's Peanutbutter Cup, and I thoroughly enjoyed it!! I ate to be satisfied and not stuffed and it really was DELICIOUS!! Thanks again, Mary! My motto is eat to be satisfied; eat when you are hungry and eat slowly and ENJOY it! If we look at losing weight as a DIEt, right there those first three letters are negative, and this is a journey we are all get healthy and stay that today start with one foot in front of the other and move some, eat more fruits and veggies, eat to be satisfied, not stuffed and think and say POSITIVE thoughts, words ONLY!!

God bless all of you and remember YOU ARE ALL SO WORTH IT!!

Oh, BARBARA, I'm SO encouraged by your blog! First off, ENJOY those flowers and trees! Isn't it invigorating to see all the signs of SPRING!

Secondly, CONGRATS on maintaining for 3 months! That is AWESOME! For me, I'm finding definite challenges and I'm 4#'s over goal. The other day I was 5#'s and then lost 4#'s and now I'm back up 3--it's really goofy! The only thing I can attribute it to is my hormones, because it sure doesn't feel like I'm overeating or UNDER exercising. I got 27 1/2 miles in this last week. Anyway, I'm making definite strides towards nipping any emotional eating in the bud [I'm going to blog about that today]. BTW, have you considered joining this team:

It's EXACTLY what you said above about how you eat! I know they would sure love a person like you on the team!

Lastly, I LOVE that you enjoyed every mouth-watering delicious bite of that cheesecake!

    Love you, dear friend! Susan

    Hi Barbara
What a surprise to see you posting on here this morning. I ahve often thought of you. We have been to the Washington Square Cheesecake factory and i had soup and salad on the house w/ Ayla ordering appetizer mac & cheese. I jsut tried one. but i do love their cheesecake, too. they ahve a delicous low carb for the diabetic and i really enjoyed that. did it keep my FBS lower? NO! No cheesecake will do that.

Bless your heart for amintaining. Have a great spring.
