Injury preventing progress

Well it's been several days since my first timed 5k and I'm still suffering. I can't be too mad because I didn't train but I was hyped and motivated and ready to start training for the next 5k but my bad back has prevented me from training. I have severe arthiritis and post-5k, this is the worst it has been in probably 10 years. Also historic is my weight! I'm the highest I have consistently been ever so I know that a huge contributing factor to my back pain but I'm trying to be patient. I've been eating like a pig the last two weeks(had finals in school) and now when I want to eat right and exercise i can't walk through the grocery store to even get the food or workout to get that part of life going again. I'm trying not to be discouraged and trying to come up with a game plan for progress. I'm going to sit down and plan some meal ideas and prepare a grocery list. Even if I just go to the store and pick up a few things instead of my major shopping, I will have to do something.
