By God's grace, my long time addiction to Fast Food is finally coming under control but I do need something to ward off the beast when I need a food hug!

Chewing gum instead of reaching for a food hug, helps me stay on track with my nutrition goals. When I have to work late or do un-fun chores at home like taxes, I have to force my self to sit and focus instead of snacking. I am always looking for some food to soften the boredom. I'm not hungry, just looking for a way out of my chore. Popping some chewing gum does two things: helps me stay away from the snacks and it helps me focus!
Thanks GORIANA!! I am going over to the dollar store and pick up some gum. And I will try this when I want comfort from food to see what happens!!
Chewing some right now. I get the impulse to snack when I'm bored so chewing gum works for me. I keep 3 flavors on hand in my desk drawer at work. Also, instead of going for a snack I have a couple swallows from my water bottle instead. 2903 days ago
