Day 20 of 30 Day Photo Blog Challenge - A place you'd love to travel.
I have a list that is longer than my arm of the places I'd like to travel and it would take me forever to get pictures of every place so I'm going to go two of my top 10:
It's no secret, I am an Ireland fan. I've never been but I dream about the day I get to Ireland. I can't wait to see the castles and fields of green. I've wanted to go since I was a little girl. Ireland is my number one place I want to travel. In fact, I don't plan on leaving the country again (except to the Bahamas for a cruise in Dec) unless it is to go to Ireland. I was hoping for a trip there for my birthday this year, but since everything else that's happened, looks like it may get postponed until next year. :( In the meantime I can just look at the pictures in awe. This is a picture of the Blarney Castle in Ireland:
Another one of my top 10 is Singapore. I have been to Singapore...once. It was for work, so I didn't get to see a whole lot of it, but I loved it. I would love to go back and really spend some time exploring. The place we stayed was the premiere shopping district - kind of like the 5th Ave of NYC. And that is exactly what Singapore reminded me of: NYC --EXCEPT the people were much nicer and the streets were much, much, much cleaner. Now, don't get me wrong, I LOVE NYC..it's my favorite city. But it is dirty and people there can be rude. Just a fact. I didn't have that experience once in Singapore. Everyone I came in contact with was extremely nice, friendly. One gentlemen engaged me in a conversation about George Bush (it was coming up on election year after his 2nd term) and then this gentleman saved my life as I almost stepped off the curb of the street. I would've stepped right in front of a cab that was speeding down the street. The cleanliness there? Impeccable!! There wasn't litter on the ground, gum stuck under tables/chairs, nothing. I had actually taken a picture of the streets because it was so clean there. When I get a chance to actually sit at my computer, I will edit this blog and post some real pictures that I took of Singapore. In the meantime, this is a picture of the Esplanade Theater
As promised pictures that I actually took in Singapore. One is of the front of the hotel where we stayed and the other is a view from my hotel room.
