my weekend out of town

Monday, May 09, 2011

Took a super last minute trip to visit my family this weekend.

Just got home a few hours ago. Overall I think I did decent but should've made better choices. I was too distracted and excited at the fact that I hadn't been over there since December. Didn't drink enough water, didn't eat enough fruits and veggies. Come to mention, I didn't eat good over all. Didn't eat lean meats or lowfat dairy hardly.

It was good for me though...I hadn't visited and was already feeling stressed and being short tempered. I was able to have some good food, laugh a lot, and spend time with my family. Friday was my day off from working out, Saturday I did not workout, Sunday I did a quick 2 mile run(because nobody could keep up with me and it was already dark out), and today I spend the day driving back and unpacking etc. Pooped!

Going to get back on track tomorrow;-).

People made tons of comments on my physical appearance. Sometimes it was embarrassing because they would comment loudly in front of other people, "oh my gosh you've lost alot of weight I hardly recognize you" or "you're so pretty now". Was I ugly before??!! Other comments were fine, "how are you doing it" "wow you look great" etc. My sisters joked around about my massive calf muscles. I guess all the running and jumping around is really working them out. I try not to do any calf exercises because they are already pretty big. Wish they could shrink:-/.

My mother in law says the same thing, "you're so pretty now" makes me feel bad about how i used to look, or I'd think the same as you, "did i look ugly before?" it's so bitter sweet. :/

It's ok, sometimes you just need to kick back and enjoy.

Welcome back and I'm glad you got to get away for the weekend and not worry about working out or being overly concerned with food. Here's to a new week! emoticon
