Yay! I have finished SP's '5K Your Way Walk/Jog' training programme and did the 5k in 40 mins!

Yay, I'm so happy! I have been doing the SparkPeople 5 week 'Walk / Jog 5k programme and have just finished the last run - I did 3.1 miles in 40 minutes! I was exhausted and wanted to stop but had to keep on going because I wanted to take this seriously since I viewed it as a kind of metaphor of my weightloss journey. I have been trying to lose weight for some time now (3 years) and have had some success (I have gone from 210 lbs to my current weight of 166 lbs) but have moments where I can be all or nothing. Sometimes I can be very good, eat very well and work out loads. At other times, I get despondent and slack off. Doing this 5k programme has been like a mini-goal of mine and I felt that if I could do this, I can keeping on pushing, get fit, lose weight and reach my goal weight of 147 lbs!
