Trying new workouts

Monday, May 02, 2011

I have started to do Zumba with my neighbor who wanted me to go to the class and give it a try. Wow, it is one of the hardest works I've ever done. I've gone about 6 times and enjoy it and it takes a lot of energy to make it the full hour long class. Last week I went 3 times and can feel the difference, just wish I had more coordination because of it being a group class of about 50 people. I am exhausted afterwards but it is all worth it to get to my goal.

Today thought I would try running laps around my backyard. I could only go for about 10 minutes to start out. I have discovered how out of shape I am it was totally in my face since I had to stop and get water. Well, taking one step one foot in front of another keeping moving. Tomorrow, I will try and run for 10 minutes around the backyard and see who well I do. When I was a kid I would run in our Physical ED class and be fine. Building up endurance will be key. One day I will run a mile some how some way.

Glad to hear you're trying new things. I have heard that the best workout is the one you enjoy the most because you'll be most likely to stick with it.

Each time you do it you will get better, stronger, and faster. Keep at it and good changes will happen!
