29 weeks and 2nd year anniversary

Sunday, May 01, 2011

Today was exhausting! Not only are we celebrating week 29 (and every week that our little Berry gets bigger and stronger) but we are also celebrating our 2 year wedding anniversary. It is hard to believe that it's already been 2 years since the wedding, but it's almost harder to believe that it's only been 2 years. It's hard to remember my life without Scott in it or not talk about my "husband' to other people.

Berry has been doing great as far as I can tell. She's definitely turning into a little squirmy worm and I can easily spend an afternoon just staring at my belly and watching her roll and wiggle around in there.

The diet has been a challenge during this past week. It was definitely an adjustment to go back to work with my new diet as my job is not really well suited to "eat lunch in this period of time without interruption" but the sugar levels stayed where they needed to be. What was difficult was making sure I was getting enough calories. I started spilling ketones Mon, which basically means my body was burning fat instead of sugar while I slept. This is not a good thing when pregnant but the amounts were so minimal that it wasn't a bad thing (yet) either. I went through my diet for that week and yep, not getting my 1800 calories. I was really careful to get all of my calories and the ketones went away and we're back to good.

I also rearranged the nursery about 15 times in the past week. Ah well :)

Because I can, here's a photo from the wedding.

And me today

Congratulations!! You were a beautiful bride and you're a gorgeous pregnant woman. Isn't it crazy to think that soon we'll have real FAMILIES, not just a husband?

You looked great on your wedding day and you also look great today!!!!!!

Congrats. I'm 29 weeks today also and also like to watch my stomach while my little man kicks and punches the heck out of me.

emoticon on 2 years of marriage. Hubby and I will be married for 3 years on May 18 and you are right the time went by fast but also went my slow at the same time. I'm wishing you many more years of marriage. Remember great marriages don't just happen. They happen because we work at it. So keep up the good job.
