This is me.. trying.. yet AGAIN.. to figure out myself and my weight loss journey.
AGAIN... trying to lose the weight and be healthier me.
This time, I have an unborn child to think of.
Thats right.. I'm pregnant.
I wanted to wait until I lost weight to have another baby, but God didnt feel the need for me to wait. =) He had blessed us with a miracle.
So now more than ever.. I need to get serious about this.
Not only for me this time.
I was a lot thinner with my first pregnancy (175-ish) and I hope to get down to 200 before giving birth.
That gives me 9 months to lose 50 pounds. It's do-able.
I just have to feel like we are both worth it.. and we are.
I've gotten back on my WW program and although I cant afford to go to meetings right now.. I am still tracking and counting points.
I'm hoping this it.
I'm worth it, so just let me do it already!

    Hi,
I am also pregnant and planned on losing weight before hand but it didn't quite work. I am obese and I am seeing a high risk doctor who recommends I gain 0 lbs. My ob says it is ok to gain 0-15lbs. So far I am still -2. I wouldn't really worry about losing weight while pregnant but focus on eating healthy . I have just recently been dx with gestational diabetes and am following a 2000 calorie gd diet. Some women do lose weight on it but it isn't my goal. If you can exercise stick with it and just try to stay and eat healthy. If you lose weight without trying that is ok because some do. If you want you can look up the gestational diabetes diet pretty much just limits the amount of carbs 30grams in am, 45-60 at lunch and super and 15 for am and pm snack, and 30 for bedtime snack. You can have as much non-starchy vegitables as you want. You eat about every 2-3 hours. I am still learning. Right now you are probably hitting the nausea and vomiting stage so just try to eat what you can. Good luck. Happy and healthy pregnancy.

I went to TOPS CLUB which had a "STork" category and I know of MANY women who were obese and lost weight while pregnant. You just have to take your vitamins and have your protein and water. The had FULL WEIGHT babies with no problems. There are a lot of health risk for obese women, so just stay on track.

Hi! So you are going to try to lose while Pg? Isn't it better to try to maintain your weight thru the pregnancy, and then focus on losing after? Try to keep your weight gain minimal, if at all, but keep using ww principles to help you eat healthy. I know how hard it is to be preggo and overweight. Been there, done that. Just focus on overall health. Congrats and good luck!
