The sky is falling

Thursday, April 28, 2011

It's terrifying when the sky churns up a storm that rips your world apart. You grieve.... and you count your blessings. So much churning, so many lives ripped apart. Not just here, but all over the planet. We see it on our homefront today. It's been flashing across the homefronts of those all over the world, we usually shake our heads and think how unfortunate. Storms and temperatures have been breaking records consistantly for years all over the planet. In Jan of 2009, scientists at Purdue predicted this increase in tornadoes, specifically in the southeast, see the link to science news below, watch the 1 minute video:

With all our scientific knowledge, many still deny climate impact by human activity. We all need to take these trends seriously and prepare our families and communities with safety plans.

Let's stop entertaining ourselves to death and commit our lives to a healthier future for the next generation. If we work together perhaps we can weather this greater storm of change in our world. I fear there are many more storms to come. Am I chicken little? I hope so. For now, let's support the climate change survivors on the homefront who are suffering, donate to the red cross, donate blood, send light and love as the weather worn try to find their way.

Thank you for posting this. It's sad and very scary. I agree that we must make changes one person at a time -- which means doing things like buying less, demanding less packaging, being more fuel efficient, and more. I also think it means that we have to make changes at the policy level, which means politics. Car efficiency? Alternatives to gas and oil? Public transportation?

Much to do. Thank you again.

Thank you for posting that. A friend and I were just saying the other day that the things prediected in "An Inconvenient Truth" are happening.

When will people realize this isn't a political issue?
