My first virtual 5k

I finally got myself to complete my first virtual 5k. I walked most of it but did a few sprints in between. My time was 57 minutes. I am going to try to keep doing at least one 5k every week. I thought that if I put it on my blog and told everyone that I am going to do this, I might just keep with it.
I am hoping that I can shave 1-2 minutes off of my time every week and also 1-2 pounds off my rear end at the same time!
UPDATE: 6/21/11 - I have been trying to complete at least 1 virtual 5k every week. I always complete it in around 55 minutes. Today I was on pace to beat my best time and I let myself give up after only 1 mile. My allergies are crazy and it started getting a little harder to breathe. Dumb me let me talk myself off the treadmill.
I have started listening to audio books on the treadmill to get me to go a little bit further so I can get to the end of the chapter. Today I didn't even care. I have got to get myself together and stick with it.
I AM GOING TO DO IT TOMORROW AND I AM GOING TO BEAT MY BEST TIME!!!!
If you are reading this, please check tomorrow to see that I have COMPLETED my virtual 5k for the week. I have no excuse not to do it. IF I HAVEN'T DONE IT, PLEASE YELL AT ME TO GET OFF MY BUTT AND GET BUSY!
