This has been a week. First off the kids were out for Spring Break & I really hadn't thought much about the challenge. We got out there and played some, but I've been so busy getting things together for our big Relay Event. Good thing our Relay Easter Bash was outside. We were out there All day. We had games for the kids, food and LOTS of FUN. My sister got some pics. so I'll have to get some from her to post later.
We had an obstacle course & NO ONE was doing it, so I got my 15 yr. old & took her on.
Thank goodness no one had a video camera. We started in Leap Frog sacks, ran through tires, jumped rope, raced around cones, hula hooped & the hilarious part raced back on a "kids" bouncy ball. I had to let her take it then. I was winning until the ball!
Later I grab all the kids and paired them up, we all had a ball. We even got some of the adults into it. Two brothers at the church paired off. Thank GOD no one got hurt b/c they are so competitive, it was( pant wetting) fun. I seriously thought I was going to pee my pants laughing at them too but when my sister & DH paired off
I lost it at the end. My DH (love him to death) but he is NOT very athletic & has a bum leg. He was determined to bounce on that ball. One of the brothers hollered out he looks like a dog scratching his butt!! I lost it!! We had so much fun!!
Then we headed to my SIL's. After we ate 3 of us went for a walk. I was really surprised she asked b/c we never do anything like that. We normally get together eat, sit around and talk & watch the kids have fun. I normally sit and talk w/my daughter or go watch my youngest & my nephew have fun. I really had a wonderful time. We walked for about an hour. I'm the short one so I really had to walk, it was not a slow stroll. I LOVED IT!!
The weather was BEAUTIFUL!! She lives in a really nice community, where we live you could never do anything like that. You would probably be bite by a dog or something. I love walking so to be able to walk and really enjoy it and my surrounding was AWESOME!! We were going to walk to the park but it was closed for construction but we kept going. We walked up to the shopping center. With gas prices the way they are, I told her she was in the best place. She has food places (lots of them), a grocery store, general store, gyms, YOU name it, it was within walking distance.
My Saturday definitely reminded me Spring was in the air!
