Food Journaling

I began food journaling again. My friend and I are trying to hold eachother accountable so I'm having her periodically check my food journal and so far it's paying off! We started on wed the 20th and so far some weight has come off (I'm not saying how much until my official weigh in on tuesday!!), and I feel better. I decided that I don't want to obsessively track my calories like I did when I lost 87 lbs back in 2009/2010 simply because I really want this to be a lifestyle for my whole family, not just a diet for myself. Insted I am just enjoying looking back at the foods I have eaten and seeing a well balanced diet.

I've even finally succeeded in getting my 2 1/2 yr old daughter to eat veggies!! Two months ago she wouldn't touch anything green and now she is eating celery, broccoli, and even eating salad out of the bag as if the leaves of lettuce are chips :)

Today will be rough because it is Easter and we are having a HUGE family gathering at my grandma's house but I won't let myself off the hook just because it is a holiday. I'm going to eat what I want but write it down and continue to look forward to what the scale says on Tuesday!!!
