Easter Sunday 2011

Happy Easter everyone! So it's day 3 of our DS journey. Yesterday we almost doubled the length of our walk ad we did it at a faster pace then we have yet, feels great. Found myself snacking but wasn't hungry, just in a snacking frame of mind, but felt uncomfortable full and couldn't finish the snacks, didn't do Pilates because it was Saturday. I felt kinda weird and shaky after our walk, but i ate half a banana then I felt fine.
Took DS today, but it's going to be a rough day foodwise. Spiral sliced ham, brussels sprouts, ham roll - ups, sweet & sour meatballs, potato salad, and white chocolate chip pecan cranberry sea salt cookies are all on the menu for today, we'll see how that goes. Still looking forward to the fat flush tomorrow and the next day, hope to see some good results on the scale, but won't depend on it to happen.

    Happy Easter! Good job going for walks. My husband and I have been trying to walk at least 30 minutes a day. Even if we are really tired, we do it anyway. It is much more challenging to make good food choices during holiday meals. We had Easter dinner with my in-laws last night and I ended up getting into more food than I should have. I went over my daily calorie goal by about 200 calories. I did learn something from it though. First of all, I got into some Easter candy out of old habits and I felt sick from the sugar afterward. I hadn't been eating sweets and so I was very aware of how crummy I felt after eating the candy which I will try hard to remember in the future. I also realized that I need to track what foods I want to eat before I begin my dinner rather than afterward, that way I will know exactly what I can have while still keeping within my calorie range. I had a bigger breakfast late this morning, so I will need to have a very light lunch. We have plans to go out to eat with my family this evening, so I am going to enter the foods I want to eat before I order, to make sure I am within my calorie range for the day. I would suggest that you enter all the foods that you want to eat before you eat them today, and that might help you keep things in better moderation. Good luck and enjoy your day.
