Lifetime Momentum #29

Wednesday, April 20, 2011

After a not so stellar week last week, a mediocre weekend, and a slow start this week, I'm finally starting to gain some momentum today. Nutrition has been getting better each day and appears to be right on track for a good day today. I'm also starting to get my cardio routine back in shape. I have been avoiding the pool the last several days because I'm fighting a cold/sore throat, but I'm starting to make up for it with some good walking. I expect to be back to the pool tomorrow or the next day. I'm really excited about keeping this momentum going. My goal right now is very aggressive, but I REALLY want to be under 300 lbs by the time I turn 40. That equates to losing 60 pounds by September 2nd. It's something I'm pushing for, but I'm not basing my success in this journey on whether or not I make that magic number on the scale. It's something that I would be proud of, but if I don't make it there, I'll still be proud of the fact that I'm going to be healthier at 40 than I was when I turned 39 (or even 29 for that matter). If I don't make that number in time I can celebrate that the day will still be coming soon, but it would be great if I do!

Anyway, I feel like I'm rambling on today, so I'll let it go at that.

Never Stop Moving...

You can do it! A goal of being healthier by September 2 is definitely within reach. It's good you aren't hung up on a number, because that scale can be pretty feisty. Just keep working on it - every day is a new opportunity to get closer to your goals.
