LISTEN TO YOUR BODY

One thing I've learned since I've been living the Sparkpeople way is to listen to what my body is telling me. I used to pay little attention to what it was saying about how much I needed to eat or when it really wanted to move. I would eat something when what my body really needed was more rest. I would spend all day sitting, when what my body was trying to tell me was it needed to move.
Now I make sure I get 8 hrs of sleep a night and sometimes take a nap in the afternoon, so I know my body is getting plenty of rest. After I've been working at the computer a while, my body wants to go for a walk, so I listen and walk at least 30 min. each day. When I get back from my walk, my body tells me I need to drink at least l6 oz. of water, so I get my large 2 cup glass and sip on water till it's all gone. When I leave Jazzercise after dancing for an hour, my body tells me I need a snack, so I have low sodium crackers and low fat cheese or some other healthy snack.
It's amazing how smart my body has turned out to be when I really listen to it. What is your body trying to tell you?
