Project Kick Processed Foods - Day 1

Monday, April 18, 2011

Today was my first day without processed foods and a successful one at that! I thought it would be harder but now I really think the hardest thing will be being prepared. I felt like I ate alllllllllllll day long and I was still under my target range for fat and calories.

Kashi GoLean
skim milk

Snack 1:
Plain Greek Yogurt (YUCK!)

Kashi GoLean Crunch

Snack 2:

Baked Panko Crusted chicken
Baked red skin potatoes with olive oil

I meant to eat a salad for lunch but woke up late this morning so I didn't have time to prepare. But, I got it all ready tonight so I can just grab it tomorrow!

I want to go to the gym tonight, but I got a call from work while I was getting ready about a fatality claim and I had to sit down and make some phone calls... boooooo! Definately tomorrow, though!

That's all for now! Have a great night Sparkers!

It is awesome that you are taking processed food out of your diet. I have been for the past week or so as well. The plain yogurt is really bitter, right? :) I finally gave in and added 1/2 tbsp of honey, figuring that at least it's natural. I love how easy it is to eat within our macros when we eat good, wholesome food. You are doing great!

Great job with kicking processed food to the curb. I really need to cut back on my use as well. Not healthy.

Good job! I am also trying to kick the processed food. I flatter myself that I do better than most, but I think there's always room for improvement!

Wow, nice first day without processed food! I'm not a fan of greek yogurt either. I eat cottage cheese instead, would that be in the non-processed food category?

I also found a recipe that you might be interested in for a greek yogurt strawberry smoothie:

PS. I'm one of the new leaders on used to cheer/dance/gymnastics and just wanted to let you know that we are looking to liven up the team and provide more support for our teammates.
