exercise streak - one year anniversary!

On April 18, 2010 I started a streak of exercising at least 30 minutes every day. Sometimes I'd be out bicycling, jogging, cross-country skiing. Sometimes I'd be really tired or short on time so all I could manage was a non-sweaty walk, perhaps broken into two 15-minute sessions.
Today is my one-year anniversary of doing this! I did miss one day - January 3 - with a fever and stomach bug. But even though I felt really crummy for several days following, January 3 was the ONLY day I missed - I got right back on track January 4. So I'm giving myself credit for the year. emoticon
Today is the start of year two. I'll be continuing this streak but making an effort to increase the intensity as I can. Walking is fine exercise but it doesn't get my heart rate up as much as some of the other things I do - but if I could get in a short walk and then do 15 minutes of a Jillian Michael workout...

    What an AWESOME streak! Try as I may to never miss at least SOME cardio every day invariably there seems to be a day when I'm just so DARNED busy from 6 a.m. till 9 p.m. that I just can't muster a workout that late. I know I get in my own way when I "pooh-pooh" an under 60 min. workout...but hey, it's WAY better than not bothering at ALL!

    Congrats to you to have this amazing exercise streak! I'm too tired (it seems) to get back on the exercise track. And I feel that if I can't get to the gym and do "real" exercise, I might as well do none at all. Sick, isn't it? emoticon
