Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

Monday, April 18, 2011

There were 10 people on our team, but only 4 of us actually showed up to walk/run!! This was my first official 5K and I decided to just walk this one. I am very slow so my goal was to complete it in 55 minutes. I did it in 54!!! I was very proud. My family (me, hubby, and son) are doing one this summer in Kona, Hawaii. I hope to run some of it.

This is me and my cousin Stacy. She ran the race in 31 minutes 31 seconds!! I was very proud of her!! She is trying to get me to RUN the Running With the King 5K on June 4th in Tupelo. I told her I would think about it.

I'm looking forward to my next 5K ~ whenever that may be!!

Great Job!!! I did the Susan G. Komen Race in Buffalo last year, but this year it's the same day as our dance recital - too much for one day.

Good for you! I'm walking in the Twin Cities on Mothers Day at the MOA. I would normally run but the crowds are huge and I'm doing it with my family (of all different ages and health). Good for you!!
