I've lost my taste for fatty foods

Saturday, April 16, 2011

I've been drinking my water and logging and spinning, and stretching and exercising and sparking, and eating my fresh produce and listening to my get up and go music and I'm feeling so much better! I was low on calories and tried a piece of cheesecake - really good cheesecake. It felt greasy in my mouth, I didn't want it, it just felt nasty! I'm craving carrots, apples, water, brown rice, I'm smiling as I listen to my get up and go song and can't help but move! I didn't expect to lose my taste for fatty foods. I'm glad, it makes it easier. I'm thankful for feeling stronger and happier, the weight loss is like an extra. I was getting miserable feeling stiff and sore and yucky in my body. I have hope. I see a change, and feeling better is such a gift - a gift to myself and all of those who are around me. I'm more motivated to make healthy choices, I'm more involved in my life. It was the get up and go songs that really started getting me headed in the right direction! Thank you spark people, you change so many lives. emoticon

When I first got "serious" on my path again, and before I started to lose anything, I had the joy of sloughing off that "stiff, sore, and yucky" feeling, too. And it only took a few days of effort to get to that point. It was a great motivator for staying on track! What a blessing to lose such a craving! Good job!

The same thing just happened to me with ice cream! I already couldn't eat greasy food, but I love ice cream and normally when I know its around, I search out excuses to eat it. I had a bowl Friday and then I just didn't want it again. Its still in the freezer, but I don't want it. Its like I turned off the "insta-crave" setting in my brain that makes you want more and more of something once you taste it. High fives all around!

I am at that slump time...and this helped motivate me to get back to where I should be. My husband is home now and brings home donuts, so I am struggling with not eating them. I had one this morning and I am going to exercise today even tho it is not an exercise day. I have to get rid of those nasty calories! Thanks, I think I am going to eat an orange just reminded me that I do have better choices. The problem is that the orange was out of sight, but not that donut! emoticon
