Motivated...but highly frustrated

I don't know what else to do anymore. I eat right. I exercise. And I am back to gaining weght. I did lose some more inches this week, but confused as to why my weight went up. I am walking A LOT!! And I switched from soda to water. A girl I worked with tonight told me she used to be 300 pounds a year ago. She said she takes Ali along with eating ight and exercising. I am seriously considering this. Even if I just use it to jump start my weght loss into gear. I know plateaus happen, but I shouldn't be hitting one already. I also know I shouldn't be so hard on myself as I am losing inches atleast. Anyone else have ideas or suggestions?

    EGRAMMY...what scares me about starting any weight loss meds is that I will become addicted to the results and keep taking them even when I really dont need them anymore. I just want something to kickstart and give me some motivation to continue. I have lots now, since I lost almost 40 pounds since I gave birth in February. 27 of that was just from giving birth.

    That wouyld come under medical advice that we don't give, so it has to be between you and your dr. on what medicine to take. I have considered getting medical help myself, but not done it yet.

    Yes, inches are a very important measure of progress and according to some, way more important than the scale. I completely understand the fixation with the number on the scale though - we are trained to be that way.

    As frustrating as it is, keep doing what you're doing and the results will come. The scale is not reflecting your efforts!

    Sometimes that tape measure is your friend - it's telling you that you're still making progress! But I DO understand wanting to see that number go down on the scale. Have you changed your exercise routine lately? If not, we're supposed to keep our body guessing by changing it up every 4 to 6 weeks. So add something new to your routine - I started my journey about four weeks ago and I'm planning on starting a spin class in early May or maybe adding a morning cardio session (right now I only do 30 min in the evening and about 45 minutes of strength training). Anyway, take it one day at a time - the scale will eventually move.
