The right shoes make all the difference

I have been walking and going up and down the stairs at work for a few months now and this has been working out well for me. I do this in my regular work clothes, which are usually jeans, a top, and loafers. I don't sweat much and this has been about the only way I could committ to doing exercise. It works for me.

However, with the nicer weather comes different shoes and lately I have been wearing sandals. Well, they all seem to be slightly too big and everytime I try to walk or go up the stairs, they slip off. This makes it extremely hard to exercise and yesterday I had to actually go barefoot!

(Side note: I wonder if you lose weight in your feet? Is that why my shoes are too big? hmmmm I do remember them growing when I was pregnant, but that was a long time ago.)

So today I brought an old pair of tennies to work. (I want to keep my faves , my Sketchers Shape-Ups, at home where I will use them more.) I'm going to keep them here permanently and use them everyday.

As I took my walk today, all I could think was "This is so much better!" The right shoes (or at least not the wrong ones!) make all the difference. One more potential excuse gone!

    You most definitely can lose weight in your feet!! I went from a 9-10 wide to an 8-8.5 medium!

    The right shoes DO make all the difference. When I went to college, a lot of my sandals didn't fit anymore, and I had lost a lot of weight, so I think you do lose weight in your feet. Makes sense.
