Week 8, Day 50; wtf, I am a turtle.

So over the weekend I was kind of HORRIBLE. Yes, I said it. On Saturday I had friends over so before everyone came over I made a double batch of whole wheat pancakes (from scratch even!). There was 5 of us, we ate them all with preserves (have you tried Sarabeth's? I will never go back to regular preserves again, these are the BEST). Then on Sunday we went to a fundraiser for Autism awareness. D and I were complete gavones. Afterwards we went home and I slipped into a 4 hour food coma, woke and ate leftovers.
I wasn't planning to weigh in today even though today is the day, but of course I did... drum roll please...
Slight improvement! That is still a half pound down from last week, that is 6 lbs in 7 weeks!
Furthermore, I may be losing weight at the speed of a turtle, but even a turtle will make it to the end of the earth if he keeps it movin'.
Ya know, sometimes I get all motivated in-the-moment (I have lots of moments like these). They don't last me super long, usually til the next day when I get distracted by... well, just about anything. I have the attention span of a goldfish, or maybe a gnat. No joke. But I have been doing pretty good with tracking, and even with getting a tiny bit more exercise. Plus, I've been reading blogs by super motivated Sparkers. People that keep their eyes on the prize- people that challenge themselves to be their best- people that really believe in themselves. And THAT has really been motivating me and keeping me positive.
