Today's fun exercise

Tuesday, April 12, 2011

Today's "fun" exercise was a bike ride down by the river- 14.5 miles long. We weren't racing, but I felt good about our time (8.5 mph). I will say this biking the river trail is a ton more fun than running it, AND YET my thighs are TIRED!!! Plenty of nice hills to climb, lots of wind to cool, and Oh the sites to see!

I have a vintage Schwinn bike which I adore, BUT they don't make 'em like that anymore. That bike is HEAVY going up a big hill. Good for me, right?
Have fun!

Sweet words, Ladies. I was so sore yesterday afternoon. I thought I'd messed up big time, but this morning all seems well. It's amazing what a hot bath will cover. Muscles I didn't realize I had- You bet. I found this small muscle right above each knee yesterday-Ouch!
And "yes" children are our greatest gift and responsibilty! I feel blessed to be given the opportunity to raise 2 boys up to be "good" men.
    Take care, Friends.

That sounds like such a great way to see Arkansas and get exercise at the same time. I'll bet you used muscles that you didn't even know you had. emoticon emoticon

Thank you for reading and commenting on my blog today. So sweet of you to take the time. Wow, I can just imagine all you have to do. We had five great kids, all grown now with families except our oldest son which we lost as a teenager. Aren't our kids the greatest gifts we could have?

Well, keep up the emoticon emoticon It's paying off big time. emoticon
