My first blog..

Monday, April 11, 2011

Well this is my first blog.. I think by having this it will help me. It will give me a chance to put my thoughts and progress out there but still maintain some privacy since I don't want everyone in my 'real life' to read everything I have to say, just the people who are here for the same reasons I am...

My biggest challenge right now is the food. My husband is in no way trying to lose weight and he eats and drinks whatever he wants. This is hard for me because he wants fast food and i'm smelling it and craving it. We have been remodeling our bathroom and one bedroom. For the past few weekends I have been eating very poorly. It's hard because I don't feel like cooking while I'm doing all this work. It's easier to just go out and get food. I can see the effects of it. Luckily I'm not gaining anything back, just not losing or losing it as fast as I want.

I've joined the 28 bootcamp challenge. I'm hoping this helps me stick to something and make me accountable.

We will see how this week works with the food!

I will also be working on my spark page sometime this week too.

My spouse isn't changing his patterns either but I sure have learned to change mine. Be very honest using the food tracker because seeing what you are doing to yourself really helps you want to change. Eat fast food but make healthier choices. When your house is torn up, it's hard to be motivated to cook but you can make healthier choices without cooking and you can also add a little exercise in.

GREAT blog....sounds just like me when I first started!

On this site, you can research all the items in the fast food restaurants. I did that, and then made a list of two items at each place that I could order and easily track, always replacing a soda with water. I keep that list in my wallet at all times, and am better able to stay on track. Success is about willpower to un-do the damage you've done and make better choices, while keeping everything in moderation. Ten french fries is better than a whole order, so keep in mind that you can still track your moderate portions if you can talk him into a supersize.

We're ALL here to help, and lift you up when you fall, and kick your butt when you need motivation.

I know how that it to have a spouse who isn't on a healthy journey... Some suggestions: Squeeze in time to prepare and cook your food, if you eat out get healthier options: (KFC-Grilled chicken with veggies or Subway)... Also, if you eat out just watch calories.... Wishing you success and happiness.... You can do it... emoticon
