Temptation all around!

Sunday, April 10, 2011

Well, today was a good day. Hubby and I went to the track this morning.......what a beautiful day weather-wise! We did a brisk 20 minute walk.......

Then it was off to meet the family for our annual trip to Wright's Chicken Farm in Smithfield, RI. We had reservations for the 10 of us at 2:30. I had done some research on the internet to try and find out how many calories were in most of the food. They serve all you can eat chicken/pasta/french fries/salad/rolls...........an
d it's really good, too! Anyway, I had a game plan prior to going......

1) Remove the skin from the chicken
4) Limit the pasta to 1/4 cup
5) Go easy on the salad (because of the dressing)

I stuck to the plan! Although, I did have 2 pieces of chicken.....white meat only........and a little extra salad..........

Normally, I could care less about the calories........but I am committed to losing weight and eating healthier. And my family understands this.......so, there were no comments like "Why aren't you eating more?" or "Lee, there is no diet today". Although, I did point out how much fat was in the dressing to my sissy's........and I wasn't going to put the 14 pounds that I had already lost back on.........

I am very happy about today. As long as I stay on this path, I will acheive my goal.....I just know it! One day (battle) at a time........

emoticon I know it can be a bit of pain sometimes to research your options for food ahead of time, you did a great job! It will pay off in the long run and you'll be glad that you did and emoticon to your family for supporting you by not nit picking through the meal about "dieting" (I keep telling my family it's not a diet it's a lifestyle lol)
