Focus on the Positive

In my quest to stay on target and be positive while loosing my weight, I have found some great advice from some of our Spark friends that is helping me along my journey to a healthy lifestyle journey.

SMILE! Smile and laugh as often as you can every day!

BE HAPPY IN EVERYTHING YOU DO! Look for the good in things in life and do not allow yourself to fester on the negatives.

KEEP A GOOD NEWS JOURNAL! Write something in it everyday that makes you feel happy! Then do it again the next day and the next day.

COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS! When you need a lift, get you Good News Journal and sit down and read it. And remember "All things work for the good of those who love God and are called to His purposes."

STAY FULL OF JOY! "The joy of the Lord is our strength."

EXERCISE! Get on the treadmill or take a walk. It works, even if you have just a few minutes, you will feel better!!

CELEBRATE SUCCESS! Celebrate each success and award yourself when you reach a goal with something that will lift your spirits, fresh cut flowers, a night out, a new purse or a new piece of jewelry, etc.
