Starting Losing Again, Trying for Best Loser
Sunday, April 10, 2011
I am starting on my low-sodium diet again. I have been off of it for several months and haven't lost any weight. If fact, I have regained some of what I lost. I started on my low-sodium diet yesterday. I hope to lose at least 2 lbs. this week. I try to eat low-sodium or no sodium. I try to keep the sodium in what I do eat under 400 mg. I only eat 1200 mg. sodium a day. Last year I lost 40 lbs. doing this.
My mother started me on the low-sodium diet. She lost 80 lbs. on it. Our Doctor recommended it to her, because of the fluid she was retaining. I talked to the Doctor and she recommended it for me, also. I have a problem with fluid retention, also.
I am trying to joing the century club at TOPS ( you have to lose at least 100 lbs. and keep it off 52 consecutive weeks to qualify) that would be a great honor. I want to lose more than a hundred pounds, of course, because I only like 42 lbs. being there. I would like to lose 130 pounds more before I quit losing. I may have to count my sodium the rest of my life, because I am already having fluid problems. To me it is easier to count sodium than to count calories. I can count calories forever, it seems and never lose any weight to speak of.
When I first started losing weight I had 200 lbs to lose. That seemed like an insurmountable task, but as I lose weight the number keeps looking better and better. Don't think you have too much to lose and not start losing, because you have to start somewhere and the sooner you start losing weight the better the numbers will look.
