Sometimes I wonder???

As you can tell from my weight I have not been a very active person for the past 4 years and for that reason I have gained about 100 lbs of weight ... I have actually become quit the shut in and it has takin a toll on me in many ways,(weight,depression, loss of friends) today I took my little guy to the park for 1 1/2 hours and we both have sun burned faces... lesson learned ... sunscreen sunscreen sunscreen ....

My husband on the other hand is very fit and very active he works as an Iron worker and then plays softball 4 nights a week and every saturday. My daughter is very fit works everyday, runs at least 3 nights a week and is a presonal trainer on the weekends.

why o why can't I have the energy that these people do?? I so want to have the energy and I saw something today that really made me think...

a body that moves keeps moving.. a body that still will remain that way

so I MUST GET MOVIN AND GROOVIN ~~~~

    I'm happy that you got out with your son, Shell! The glass half full - you got some vitamin D with that sunburn. I love the calendar idea. As well as the idea of starting small. An hour of exercise can be intimidating, but 10 or 15 minutes is usually do-able. Those 10 minutes add up. Like music? Put on the radio and dance for a couple of songs. You're little guy is sure to love it, too! You definitely can do it, Shell. You're a tough chica!

    Sister Friend I am soooo with you. Start all over again tomorrow if need be. But I know you have the knowledge that I do. And we both need to put it to good use one day at a time. Think small...be big! There is no good reason for us to live this way any longer....Lets Kick it up a notch!

    It sounds like your ready to get moving. My trainer helped me set a calendar up and make some goals for a healthy month. She looked at what I had done the last month and increased my goals a little. Try this..get a calendar and write dates for yourself. Sunday walk 15 minutes or what ever you decide to do. Just fill it in and hold yourself accountable to it. Start small and build on it each month. One of my goals was to take 1 class offered at the gym in the month. Now I'm doing 1 a week. It really helps to make a plan on a calendar. I know you can do it! emoticon emoticon
