I think my metabolism's broken...

If I've got this weight-loss thing figured out right, that needle on the scale is supposed to MOVE, right? I mean down, after the initial cannon blast into the 170's? Last October my living situation changed and as a result my eating habits got much better, from fast-food every day to no fast-food and almost the RDA of fruit and veggies and other changes. But that dang scale has not MOVED! Last year I also took on a new job which has a lot of down time, which I spent sitting in a chair, so that may also be a factor, hmmm....A couple of weeks ago I said "to hell with it" and got back on the fast-food train. Didn't enjoy it as much as I used to (yay!) and I got that needle to move - UP! At least I know my body still sort of works. I've lost those extra 3-5 pounds and am eating well again and exercising more, tho' there's still plenty of room for improvement in that area. So I'm back in 175-lb. land, where my body seems to think it's on a long vacation...sigh. :)

    Yeah, this was unexpected, but when I started exercising in the morning instead of the evening, it was like my metabolism finally woke up too. Keep up the good work.

    I was stuck twice, for a long time in my weight loss journey. It's not fun! What do you do for exercise-maybe that is the area where you can mix it up and move that scale in the right direction! emoticon
