Feeling so Tired All Week

Thursday, April 07, 2011

I have been feeling so tired all week. Absolutely no energy. I have been getting most of my walking in at work, but by time I get home from work I just feel so drained. I don't think it is depression. Because I don't want to climb in bed and pull the covers over my head and forget about the world. Nor have I been finding my way to the kitchen to eat everything in sight. Those are my typical signs of depression. I am wondering if the stress of the past couple of weeks is catching up with me. Not enough sleep is not helping as I get older. But it is just so hard for me to go to bed before 9pm to try to get in 8 hours of sleep before I have to get up at 5am for work. I broke down and took a nap today at about 5pm and I am still tired. A quick nap in the afternoon usually keeps up awake all night long. So I am going to take it easy tomorrow and for the weekend and hope my energy level will get better.
A good Weekend to all.

Terry, I am taking it easy this weekend. Already took my first nap emoticon . Will watch my calories. Since I haven't been getting in all the cardio I should I hope I have been OK even though I have not eaten as much as I should. But I do want to get in some cardio this weekend. I tried today at work but it is so cold here for us spoiled Californians. I took my usual walk on my first break. But I was so cold I think I did it in record time. My poor ears were so cold they seriously hurt once I got back to my desk.
Enjoy your weekend. You too try to get some sleep.

Take it easy this weekend and try and get some sleep...I will be doing the same. From one insomniac to another I know that is easier said than done. Remember to get all your calories in. Not enough food will make you feel bad too.

    Kathy,
Thanks for the tips. Hopefully it will not be raining this weekend. It is raining right now in Sunny California. I do get out a lot when the weather is nice. I have a tiny back yard with plants that I love to take care of. I usually fight with the bugs for a few hours on the weekends. I do drink water. I only drink one cup of coffee in the morning. And then it is pretty much water. I don't hardly drink soda's and alcohol is out of the question. Never had the taste for it.

    Hope you enjoy your weekend.

Just a couple of things that may or may not make a difference: while you are taking it easy this weekend, try drinking a little extra water--and get outside in nature for a bit.

It helps with the sleep thing if you can get some version of sunlight during the day... Not easy where I live, but it can make a difference! LOL
