RIP Mr. Booth
Wednesday, April 06, 2011
My friend and fellow renal patient Perry Booth passed away Sunday night.
He was a very kind man. Very gentle. Never complaining. Soft spoken. His Daughter Pam would wheel him up every day around 6:05 and we'd sit & talk. I'd kid him because he would be holding her purse so she could push his chair. I'd say "I see you have your purse today." He'd say 'yep"! LOL
He would go every Tuesday to Kmart and sit with the guys & drink coffee & gab. That is until he was too sick to drive.
Actually Sat. before last he had a treatment. Was fine. Then no treatment Tues. Thursday he had a treatment in the back room as he was admitted to the hospital.
I visited him Sat. & the family said they decided to discontinue his treatments at the advice of his doctor.
He had had a heart attack & the treatments were just prolonging his life.
I will miss Mr. Booth. We shared a birthday (Feb. 23rd). I always told him he took my birthday. He'd say "Young Lady, I had that birthday 33 yrs. before you were born." LOL
Just wanted to blog & pay my respects to one remarkable man. Mr. Perry Booth Jr. RIP Sir, Until we Meet Again.
Thanks for listening. Love ya, Marla
