Learning to think....Outside the box...Kraft box, cereal box, bread box, etc.

Monday, April 04, 2011

I have to learn to think, especially when I am tired. I have to learn to think outside of the box. A lot of really crappy foods come in a box. Macaroni and cheese. Sugary cereals. I don't eat most of the foods that come out of a box but, at the moment, I am tired of cooking and so I am contemplating purchasing one of Pandora's sin bins. I mean, it all looks good...and easy....and they are so happy. Vegetables and fruits never look that happy unless they are garnishing a Bloody Mary or are sewn on the elastic labels of "Fruit of the Loom" underwear. But I also know that once Pandora's box is open, that will be it, the "evils" will be unleashed and I will bite myself in the butt. So I am wrestling with it. Box 101. So easy. So cheesy. THEN I see the shopping cart in front of me. Boxes and boxes of easy, cheesy and the woman huffing and puffing is a model for easy, cheesy cover girl. BIG reality check. I guess I will just have to bag it. Bags of fruit. Bags of vegetables. Sigh..... emoticon

A box of something every once in a while is okay. I sometimes make boxed mac and cheese (organic, of course). I actually don't like the real stuff.
