A Monday Morning Prayer and Message!

Monday, April 04, 2011

A Blessed Monday Morning To All SP Members! Be glad in yourheart for Jesus loves you. Give God all the praise!

PRAYER: "Heavenly Father, Holy and Just God! We stand at the crossroad of life and look as we ask for ourselves and for our nation, for the ancient path and where the good way is so we may walk in it. But first, we confess before you our sins and the sins of this nation:
the disobedience, the selfishness, the greed, and the immoral acts of sin. Even though there are many who believe in You and walk in the way, far too may have refused to walk Your way. As we stand in the gap of the crossroad of life and look for the good way, we pray that many more people will join us in walking according to Your Law so that disaster to our nation may be avoided. Help us all to be listeners of Your Word and Doers of Your Word. This we pray in the BLessed name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, Amen!"

MESSAGE: The Accuracy of the Bible!
1. The Bible is our Textbook for relgion, but it also touches many other areas in our life.
a. Skeptics have searched it mercilessly to disprove it, but have failed.
b. The Bible actiually speaks the TRUTH.
2. Let's look at HISTORY and GEOGRAPHY.
a. The Hittite Nation.
1. 2 Sam 11:3 - says that Uriah was a Hittite.
2. The Bible mentions Hittites often (Gen 15:19-21; Num 13:29; Josh 3:10; etc.), but for years skeptics have said that was wrong.
3. In 1906, Hugo Winkler excavated HATTUSA, the Hittite capital, and we now know that the Hittites rival Egypt and Assyria in glory.
3. What do you think about this? Does the accuracy of the Bible depend on man or on God? Do we walk by faith or by sight? To Be Continued Tomorrow!

May God help us to see the way clearly so we may walk in it....all the way to heaven and glory.
In Hid Grace, Vic.

    Your words bring this hymn to mind,

    We walk by faith, and not by sight;
    No gracious words we hear
    From Him Who spoke as man ne’er spoke;
    But we believe Him near.

    We may not touch His hands and side,
    Nor follow where He trod;
    But in His promise we rejoice,
    And cry, “My Lord and God!”

    Help then, O Lord, our unbelief;
    And may our faith abound,
    To call on Thee when Thou art near,
    And seek where Thou art found.

    That, when our life of faith is done,
    In realms of clearer light
    We may behold Thee as Thou art,
    With full and endless sight.

    May we all walk by faith in the One, True God!

    Have a great day!
